Volunteer Appreciation: FREE Christmas Childcare!!

This is it! One of the most practical Volunteer Appreciation events we have ever concocted….Free Christmas Childcare so you can do your shopping! We’ll watch your kids (Birth to 5th Grade) on Saturday, Dec 5 from 10am-1pm at Xroads Andover .  There will even be an appearance from the big man…no not Glen…Santa Claus!  We are limiting this to Regular Children’s Ministry Volunteers only and YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER (because SPACE IS LIMITED) by Thursday, Dec 3 at midnight by e-mailing kbrumley@xroadschurch.org. CHRISTMAS EVE

Crossroads will be offering the following Christmas Eve services this year on Thursday, Dec 24:  Andover Campus @ 2, 4 & 6pm and Georgetown Campus @ 2pm.  We will have full Children’s Programming for Nursery through 3rd Grade and then our 4-5th Graders will have the option of helping volunteer in Children’s Ministry or going with their family to adult service. We will be asking for sign-ups to help in Children’s Ministry for one of the Christmas Eve services this year so that our regular volunteers can have a break.  You can e-mail jkoerner@xroadschurch.org if you’d like to help. You can even help as a family! Merry Christmas!

NOTE:  There will be NO services on the weekend of Dec 26/27.

INSTRUCTOR APPLICATIONS

We are now finalizing details for our Winter Session for our Kidz Artz Institute.  (We are accepting applications for instructors as well.)  The dates will be  Thursdays Jan 7 & 21, Feb 4 & 18, and Mar 4 & 18 from 6-7pm at Xroads Andover.

We are hoping to offer the following courses:

Voice, Drama, Tech, Set Construction, Drums I and II, Guitar, Art, Cooking, Dance and Tech Tunes

BEARS RECAP

Wow! What an awesome time we had with Mike Berenstain watching him draw and listening to him read on Thursday! We estimated about 400 people that day and I personally watched him sign well over 300 books and talk to every single child that came through the line. Be sure to support Mike Berenstain by buying the latest Berenstain series. The Xroads Bookstore will be ordering more as well!

Xroads Kidz is seeking individuals who enjoy working with  kids to serve on a regular basis (weekly or monthly) during one of the three services (Sat 5:30pm, Sun 9:30 or 11:15am) in the Nursery, Preschool, or Elementary.  If you are interested, please contact mhadley@xroadschurch.org.

ALLERGIES

Please know that our staff has spent a lot of time minimizing the possibility of allergic reactions in our Children’s Ministry (Peanut Free environment, no brought in snacks, etc); however, at this time, we do allow some candy to be given as prizes but we also offer an alternative should there be dietary restrictions. Please always alert the volunteer in the classroom if there are any allergies or dietary notes for your child. Thanks for helping us be a safe place! Be sure to take time to develop your OWN spiritual life and read the Bible for YOURSELF  during the week before you volunteer in Children’s Ministry on the weekend! It will make what you’re teaching so much more meaningful and help you grow spiritually as well!
